How to export your WhatsApp chat
iPhone
- Open the chat and tap the contact or group name at the top.
- Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
- Choose Attach Media (with photos) or Without Media.
- Save it to Files, then pick that .zip in Momentario.
Android
- Open the chat and tap ⋮ at the top right.
- Tap More → Export chat.
- Choose Include media or Without media.
- Save it on your phone (Files or Drive), then pick it in Momentario.
Good to know
- WhatsApp limits how many messages and photos go into one export. Very long chats may start a bit later than the first day.
- Momentario reads the .zip or the .txt exactly as WhatsApp makes it. No need to unzip anything.

Questions
Do I need to export with media?
Only if you want the photos in the book. Without media you get the same book with small 📷 notes where the photos were.
